Since 1995, Marnie has been teaching violin to those of all abilities and ages. Formally trained in both the Suzuki Method and "traditional" classical methods, she holds true to her belief that all learners have the ability to be musical. Frequently, students have found her and begun lessons after having previous negative experiences with teachers who have told them that they aren't "cut out" to play the violin, or have pushed them to learn via one set philosophy. If you are looking to learn in a positive environment that simultaneously supports self-esteem and  successful violin techniques to accomplish your goals, she may be a good fit for you. Foundations are emphasized that support all genres of music, whether classical, folk, rock, Celtic, improv and general listening techniques to develop great musicianship!
